I’m fortunate to have worked on some really interesting and well-received non-fiction books. Some still awaiting press… I’m not an Amazon affiliate. I’m including links, however, to illustrate the range of topics and author approaches that my experience has covered so far. My role included ironing out chapter organizations to better support an argument’s logic, book structure issues, needing more or less research to be cited, consistency of style, and the bug bear of every academic writer, eliminating jargon.
- The Threshold of Manifest Destiny won two book prizes for its author Dr. Laurel Clark Shire. The archival work and original analysis offered by Dr. Shire make is a significant addition to understanding white women’s role in slavery and expansion.
- Dr. Julie Passanante Elman’s Chronic Youth established her an important new voice in queer theory, feminist media criticism, and the cultural understanding of both disability and youth.
- Cached is the book realization of Dr. Stephanie Schulte’s doctoral work, which won dissertation prizes from three scholarly associations.
- Kirsten Powers’ The Silencing was best seller, hailed by Charles Krauthammer as “searing and courageous.” (For Ms. Powers, I gave structural and line edits on chapter 9 only.)
